The 2015 Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Grand Gala Ball, chaired by Lynn Wyatt and unofficially her 80th birthday party, raised $2,010,000, the highest-netting and highest-grossing fundraiser ball in the MFAH's history until 2017.

 

The annual fundraising event kicked-off Mark Rothko: A Retrospective at the Museum, the only U.S. venue for this exhibition and the first comprehensive overview of the work of Rothko.

2016 GGB

The 2016 Grand Gala Ball celebrated the Degas: A New Vision exhibition. A Degas pastel in a Houstonian's private collection served as the imagery and inspiration for the name Come Dance With Me! The event raised a near record-breaking $1.85 million.

2017 GGB

Gorgeous gowns are always a part of every major Houston gala. In 2017 they were the focal point as the theme celebrated The Glamour and Romance of Oscar de la Renta exhibition. The floral pattern was provided by the fashion house. Donations made this year’s Ball have yet to be matched, with the evening raising $2.3 million.
